The funicular railway is the easiest way to the top. Then, take a walk through the gardens and enjoy the panoramic views. | | Days 4-6 | Pucon | The black sand beaches of Lago Villarrica beckon on this stop in the Chilean lake district, however the real attraction is the myriad adventure sports available. | | Days 7-8 | Puerto Varas | Snow-capped mountains, deep blue lakes, smoking volcanoes, forests and glaciers make up the scenery around Puerto Varas on the shores of Lago Llanquihue. Chilling-out is the order of the day or take a day tour to Chiloe Island on the lake. | | Days 9-11 | Bariloche | Travel through the Andes and into this beautiful lake district, with its many great hotels, restaurants and chocolate shops among the little chalets and wooden buildings.
